Staring at your raw chick breast again, wondering what to make? Marinara... mozzarella... Marinella!!

Ingredients

2 boneless skinless chicken breasts

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 cup marinara sauce

1/2 cup shredded mozzarella

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350F. Season the chicken on both sides with salt, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder. Place seasoned chicken on parchment lined baking sheet; then spoon about 3-4 tablespoons of jarred marinara sauce on each breast (enough to cover each).

  2. Bake for about 20-25 minutes (for thinner cutlets) to 35-40 minutes for larger breasts.

  3. Once cooked, top with a layer of mozzarella (shredded or thin slices). Turn on your broiler and move your oven rack to the top.

  4. Broil the cooked chicken to melt the cheese and slightly brown it, 1-2 minutes.
