Heidi’s Breakfast
From the snow capped mountains of Colorado, egg+sausage+cheese+toast = heaven.
Ingredients
Cooking spray
4 pieces Texas toast, baked and diced
1/2 pound maple sausage, raw
1 1/2 cups grated white cheddar cheese
4 eggs, beaten
1 cup half and half
3/4 cup milk
1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
1/2 teaspoon onion power
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
Maple syrup, for serving
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350F.
Spray 8x8 oven dish with cooking spray. Place diced Texas toast on the bottom of the dish in a single layer and sprinkle with pieces of sausage. Cover with cheese.
In a separate bowl, combine remaining ingredients and pour over cheese.
Bake 55 minutes and allow to cool for 10 minutes before serving. Serve with maple syrup.
