Heidi’s Breakfast

 

From the snow capped mountains of Colorado, egg+sausage+cheese+toast = heaven.

Ingredients

Cooking spray

4 pieces Texas toast, baked and diced 

1/2 pound maple sausage, raw  

1 1/2 cups grated white cheddar cheese 

4 eggs, beaten 

1 cup half and half 

3/4 cup milk 

1/4 teaspoon dry mustard 

1/2 teaspoon onion power 

1/4 teaspoon salt  

1/2 teaspoon pepper 

Maple syrup, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350F. 

  2. Spray 8x8 oven dish with cooking spray. Place diced Texas toast on the bottom of the dish in a single layer and sprinkle with pieces of sausage. Cover with cheese.

  3. In a separate bowl, combine remaining ingredients and pour over cheese.

  4. Bake 55 minutes and allow to cool for 10 minutes before serving. Serve with maple syrup.
