Beer Brat Bites

 

Bite-sized, grilled bratwursts, served with a beer-based, mustardy gravy. Oh, and chives - for health reasons!

Ingredients

1 12-ounce beer

1/2 cup brown sugar

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon cornstarch

5 grilled bratwursts

2 tablespoons chopped chives

Instructions

  1. Add the beer and brown sugar to a small pot over medium high heat.

  2. Once boiling, reduce to medium low to simmer for 15 minutes.

  3. Add mustrard and whisk until smooth.

  4. Combine the cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of water and add it to the beer mixture.

  5. Bring the beer mixture to a boil and cook, whisking constantly, until sauce is thick (about 1 minute).

  6. Slice the brats and transfer to a serving platter.

  7. Garnish sliced brats with chives and serve with beer gravy.
