Candied Nuts

 

Sweet and delicious mixed nuts for snacking, parties, and gifts!

Ingredients

1 cup walnut halves

1 cup pecan halves

1 cup almonds

1 cup cashews

1 teaspoon salt

2 teaspoons Distilled Mojito

1/2 cup white sugar

1/4 cup water

1 tablespoon butter

Nonstick cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350F.

  2. Combine the nuts in a large bowl and season with salt and Distilled Mojito; toss to coat.

  3. Add sugar, water and butter to a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook 1 minute, until the butter is melted and sugar is dissolved. Coat the nuts with the butter mixture and stir to thoroughly combine.

  4. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Coat the aluminum foil with a light layer of cooking spray.

  5. Transfer the nuts to the baking sheet and spread them into a single layer.

  6. Bake for 10 minutes. Toss the nuts and spread them out again in a single layer. Bake for another 6 minutes, until nuts are sticky and roasted. Cool 20-30 minutes before serving.
