Chocolate Bear Claw
Beware: once you learn how easy it is to have these flavors at home, your local bakery might retaliate!
Ingredients
1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
1 half cup milk chocolate chips
3/4 cup sliced almonds
1/4 cup marzipan
1 egg, beaten
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400F. Place puff pastry on a parchment lined baking sheet.
Sprinkle chocolate chips and 1/2 cup almonds evenly over the top.
Place dots of marzipan across the center, vertically.
Roll the pastry from right to left (or left to right!) until it's in the shape of a log.
Brush with beaten egg and remaining almonds. Bake for 35-40 minutes, until top is golden brown.
Allow to cool for 10 minutes before serving.
